Brandon graduated from Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts in 1999 and went on to study jazz and popular music performance for two years at the Hartford Conservatory. He has performed in pit-orchestras for dozens of musical theater productions throughout Connecticut and Washington. As an educator, Brandon has taught beginning-advanced guitar, jazz improvisation, and music theory for The National Music Workshop, and George's Music Center in Connecticut. He currently teaches at the 4/4 School of Music in Everett and Seattle. Brandon has worked as Musical Director/Producer for Jerk Alert Productions since 2005, during which time the Seattle/Chicago based company has brought to the stage three successful runs of Stimulus, the sketch comedy review Haener vs. Haener, and Hogwash: An Improvised Tall Tale. Brandon is also a member of The Hamstrings, a funk/groove/jazz ensemble. In addition to performing original music for audiences throughout the Northwest, members of The Hamstrings also provide the improvised musical soundscape for Hogwash.
