The 7th Annual Seattle Festival of Improv Theater
SFIT is a four-day improv festival. Groups from all over North America descend upon the city to perform at two different venues: the Historic University Theater (home of Jet City Improv) and The Market Theater (home of Seattle Theatersports). There are also many wonderful improv workshops for beginners and seasoned players alike. In addition to that, we have The Seattle Dust-Up, our answer to the typical festival "improv jam." Congratulations to the Nova Project Improv Team - Winners of the 2008 Seattle Open!
The students from The Nova Project won the second annual Seattle Open Improv High School Tournament on Sunday, December 14th at the Historic University Theater. Congratulations also to the runners up: the team from Nathan Hale and the "Woodiak" team (a last-minute combination of students from Woodinville and Kamiak High Schools).

KILT SHOWS
Wearers of kilts -- and people who enjoy watching improvisers in kilts - pay attention! On Saturday, July 21st we will have our Second Annual Kilt Shows at Jet City Improv. All cast members on stage will be attempting to improvise and wear kilts at the same time. You can wear YOUR kilt and receive $2 off at the box office. The Kilt Shows will be at 8:00pm, 10:30pm and you can stick around for an especially kilt-y Cupcake at midnight:30. This show is sponsored in part by Utilikilts.

The great improv crossover!
Cast members will be swapping places on Friday, April 13th at 8pm. Breaking News' own Michelle Wang (Annete Auger) will be joining the cast of Seattle's Unexpected Productions' Cottin Gin's WPET, an improvised news show just like ours -- only theirs has a cast enitrely made of puppets! Likewise, one of their soft and fuzzy newscasters will be joing the rest of our Breaking News cast on stage here at the Historic University Theater!
