Peformance Series

Learn what it’s like to be on a long-form improv team! In this eight-week course, you will go from audition to performance, learning how to collaborate, innovate, and take direction. This class focuses learn the basics of one of the mainstays of improvisation: The Harold. The Harold is a 25-45 minute long show based on a single suggestion which the improvisers explore through scenes, monologues, games, and really anything that comes into their head.

Throughout this course, you will form a team of improvisers and create your own version of this classic format, which you will then perform on the stage of the Historic University Theatre for a 3-week engagement. The class is divided into two sections: a 5-week training course, and a 3-week rehearsal process.

At the end of the class, you will be a part of an improv team that has its own show, ready to perform at any location. You’ll leave the program with footage from your shows that you can use to help land your next show! If you are ready to take the leap into improvisation head-first, then this class is for you!
