The Varsity Improv Performance Series (VIPS) is a short- form based improv show in the style of Jet City Improv. The VIPS are comprised of Seattle’s best young improvisers!
VIPS is designed to give young improvisers the experience of performing in a professional improv troupe. Students will learn the necessary skills to stage full-fledged
short form improv shows modeled after the Jet City Improv format.
Performances are Sunday March 28, Sunday April 18, and Sunday May 9th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5.

Join the VIPS
The VIPS is designed to give young improvisers the experience of performing in a professional improv troupe. Students will learn the necessary skills to stage full-fledged short form improv shows modeled after the Jet City Improv format. In addition to weekly rehearsals and three primetime performance dates at the Historic University Theatre, you will be paired with Jet City Improv cast member as mentors who will provide guidance and feedback. Spaces are limited to 12 students between the ages of 15-19. Please note that admittance into the VIPS is by audition only.

Auditions, Casting, and Tuition:
Admittance for the Spring program is by audition only on Thursday, February 11th. You must sign up for an audition space at least
24 hours in advance. Auditions will consist of group warm-up exercises followed by short, improvised group scenes. No preparation or monologue is necessary.
Casting notices will be sent out within 24 hours of auditions. Payment of the $225 tuition will be due in full on or prior to the start date of
class (Feb. 25) if your student accepts an offer to participate. Payments can be made by check or credit card.
Jet City improv brings a higher plane of comedy to the northwest with weekly improv shows as well as workshops and performances for schools and businesses. Jet City Improv provides a unique show, blending family appropriate humor with edge-of-your-seat comedy.
